911 Emergency Services

When dialing 911 you will be connected to the closest emergency response center.

Note: If you move your digital phone outside of the StratusIQ service area you will be required to notify StratusIQ technical support so we can update the E911 database information.

Caller ID

This feature lets you know who is calling before you answer the phone. It is compatible with most Caller ID phones and devices.

How it works: Simply connect the Caller ID device inline with the phone, phones with built-in Caller ID should work automatically.

Call Waiting

Allows you to accept an incoming call while you’re already on a phone call. This feature places the first call on hold while allowing you to answer the second incoming call.

While you’re on the phone, a beep tone alerts you of another incoming call. If available, the new phone number also displays on your Caller ID device. If you want to take the call, press the flash button or switch hook on your phone to answer the second incoming call. Press flash or switch hook on your phone to toggle between calls. Calls that you do not answer will go to voicemail.

3-Way Calling

To establish a 3-way call, call your first contact’s number. After they are connected, press flash or switch hook to place that caller on hold. You will hear a dial tone and can now dial the second number. either before or after that call is connected, press flash or switch hook once more to establish the 3-way connection.

Call Forwarding (*72,*73)

To forward your line to another number, while not on a call: Take the phone handset off-hook, dial *72. You should hear dial-tone again. Then dial the number you would like to forward to, if this number is long distance include the area code. The system will then make a call to your forwarded number, when the call either goes to voicemail or is answered you can hang up your phone and the forward is complete.

To un-forward your line, while not on a call: Take the handset off-hook, dial *73, if you hear a busy signal the forwarding of that line has been successfully removed. If you do not hear a busy signal your line may not have been forwarded to begin with.

Call Rejection (*60,*80)

Call Rejection lets you store up to 15 different numbers to block calls. You create a “rejection list” and add the phone numbers you want to that list. Numbers on your call rejection list are not able to call your home. When an unwanted caller tries to reach you, he/she hears a prerecorded message announcing that you are not accepting calls. You can include more than 10 numbers on your unwanted callers list. This feature works with most local and some long distance numbers.

To activate this calling feature: Listen for a dial tone, and press *60 and follow the recorded instructions to create a rejection list.
To temporarily deactivate this calling feature: Listen for a dial tone, and press *80 and follow the recorded instructions
If you want to reject a call, but don’t know the caller’s number, you can still reject the call. After answering the call, hang up then pick up the receiver again and dial *60. Follow the recorded instructions to add the caller to your unwanted caller list.

Voicemail Features

Voice messaging records messages when your line is busy or you do not answer the phone. There is no additional equipment and messages are recorded even if the electricity is off. Multiple messages can be taken simultaneously and callers never hear a busy signal. You can even retrieve messages when away from home.

Call your own telephone number and wait for the voice mail message to play. While the message is playing press the * key. Wait for the password prompt and enter your password (temporary password is set to last 4 digits of your phone number) and then follow the system prompts.

We also offer voicemail to email service. The system will attach the voicemail as an Mp3 file and send it directly to your email address. If you want to learn more about this option please give us a call.
